 In Person:

  • minimum of 4 working days for Tourist,Business and Re-Entry Visas
  • minimum of 5 working days for all other types of visas

IMPORTANT: For those who chose to have their passports returned by mail, the mailing time is not included in the processing time above.

Visa Submission : from 9 am to 12 pm.

IMPORTANT: As of September 1st, all visa applications for "in person" submission will be accepted by APPOINTMENT ONLY at this Consulate.

·         You may only schedule an appointment after you have completed an online application. Click here for further information on application procedures and requirements, and to schedule your visa submission appointment.

·         You may only submit your application in person or through an agency (click here to see a list).

·         On the day of your visa appointment, you must bring the check-list that includes all documents necessary for your visa application to be processed successfully.

·         It is highly recommended that you bring a self-addressed and certified Express Mail Envelope from the U.S. Postal Service, duly stamped, for the return of your passport. We DO NOT accept any other carrier, such as FedEx, UPS and/or DHL.

Visa Pick-up: from 12 noon to 1 pm

Groups of equal or more than  6 people 

Travel Agents

  • minimum of 9 working days for Business and Tourist Visas
  • minimum of 9 working days for all other types of Visas

Visa submission: from 3 pm to 4:30 pm

  • Mondays: All kinds of visas
  • Wednesdays: Business and Tourist Visas ONLY;
  • Thursdays: All kinds of visas.

Visa Pick-up: from 4 pm to 5 pm MONDAY through FRIDAY

American passports not claimed within 90 days will be sent to CLAPP - Washington D.C. For all other nationalities, the passport will be sent to its corresponding embassy in the U.S.A.
